Jennifer Brown is the Director, Producer, Cinematographer, and Editor for Into Nature Films. She began her career as a Field Biologist working with wildlife in remote and challenging locations. During her field work, she noticed the enduring connections between people and wild landscapes. In 2010, Jennifer earned a Master of Fine Art in Science and Natural History Filmmaking from Montana State University. After her academic training, she knew that the only way to learn her craft was to go deep into nature. Jennifer worked for four years as the Video Producer for Everglades National Park producing films about one of the world’s most imperiled ecosystems.

Jennifer began researching, developing, and filming ‘Little Brown Bird’ in 2013. Since then, Jennifer has grown Into Nature Films, a successful documentary production company based in Venus, Florida, producing over 20 films focusing on Florida nature. Into Nature Films works to tell the stories of people and the land with handcrafted, independent films. Jennifer completed film projects for the National Park Service (Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve), Archbold Biological Station, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Friends of Weedon Island, Tampa Bay Watch, and Friends of the Tampa Bay National Wildlife Refuges. Jennifer’s work has aired on Animal Planet and PBS. Her award-winning film Little Beach Mouse from the South, featuring the endangered Perdido Key Beach Mouse, screened at two international film festivals.

Rick Anderson is the Writer, Associate Producer, and Fire Ecologist for Into Nature Films. He uses his words to tell the story of fire, people, and the natural history of his native  Florida. A son of palmetto country pioneers, his writing gives a Florida accent to the works of Into Nature Films. Rick has dedicated his life to the use of fire for the land across the western hemisphere.
